Farero
A clear view of work in motion.
A mobile-first workforce coordination platform for scheduling, time reporting, administrative review, payroll workflows, and team operations.
Planned

Reported

The challenge
Operational truth should not be ambiguous.
A schedule describes what is supposed to happen. A team member’s report describes what actually happened. An approved time entry becomes an official record. Treating those as the same thing makes corrections difficult, obscures accountability, and creates opportunities for inaccurate data.
The product had to keep those distinctions reliable at the system level without making the workday feel like a database.
Product strategy
One system. Three deliberate responsibilities.
Each screen has a clear purpose, while shared actions and terminology stay consistent across the platform.
Schedule
Plans work, assignments, recurring shifts, and the changes that happen before a shift.
Timesheets
Captures actual work, review state, corrections, and the records used for payroll.
Calendar
Creates a shared visual view without quietly becoming another editing system.
Designed for the exceptions
Changed shifts, missed work, overnight hours, split intervals, recurring schedules, conflicts, stale approvals, corrections, multiple organizations, and incomplete information shaped the product from the beginning—not after the ideal workflow was finished.
Trusted records
Preserve the history behind every decision.
Published assignments receive revisions. Submitted Work Reports become immutable. Approval creates the official time entry in the same transaction. Corrections add history instead of silently replacing it.
- 1
Planned
Assignment
A versioned statement of what should happen.
- 2
Reported
Work Report
The team member’s immutable account of what happened.
- 3
Reviewed
Decision
Approve, request changes, or reject with the evidence intact.
- 4
Recorded
Time entry
An official operational or payroll record created transactionally.
Quick Intake
AI has a useful role, not an authoritative one.
Administrators can turn informal English, Spanish, or mixed-language work messages into structured time proposals without letting the model approve work or write a timesheet.
“AI interprets and proposes. The administrator approves. Farero validates and saves.”
Resolve people, clients, and locations only inside the active organization.
Check duplicates, overlapping time, and invalid intervals independently.
Require explicit human confirmation before a record is created.
Preserve a manual review path when the provider is unavailable.
Organization boundaries
Multi-tenant by relationship, not by assumption.
A person can belong to multiple Teams with a different role and access status in each. Operational records retain their organization boundary through application logic and database relationships.
Authorization repeats at page, action, service, and final-write boundaries. The active organization comes from authenticated membership, never browser input.
Documented verification
350
unit tests
157
PostgreSQL integration tests
52
migrations rehearsed
1,000
members in synthetic query validation
Verification also covered production build, lint, TypeScript, Prisma, tenant isolation, rollback, concurrency, idempotency, and desktop and mobile smoke testing.
Production foundation
Farero runs on AWS Lightsail and uses Neon for managed PostgreSQL, keeping application runtime and database responsibilities clear.
The Keeper’s Log
A calmer operational interface.
Farero uses sheets, ledgers, status signals, and focused overlays instead of turning every piece of information into the same floating card. Color carries operational meaning, with text and icons reinforcing every state.

The outcome
Every major workflow has a clear owner. Every authoritative record has evidence behind it.
Farero demonstrates a product approach that models business truth before designing screens, makes dangerous actions explicit and reversible, and uses automation without surrendering control.
